Wrath of Man (2021)
Wrath of Man is a 2021 action thriller heist film directed by Guy Ritchie. It stars Jason Statham as H, a mysterious new cash truck driver in Los Angeles whose exceptional skills with guns and enigmatic past come to light after thwarting a robbery. The film, loosely based on the 2004 French film Cash Truck by Nicolas Boukhrief, marks Ritchie’s fourth collaboration as director with Statham, following Revolver (2005).
The ensemble cast includes Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Chris Reilly, Josh Hartnett, Laz Alonso, Raúl Castillo, DeObia Oparei, Eddie Marsan, and Scott Eastwood. Wrath of Man was released in various countries starting April 22, 2021, and in the United States on May 7. It garnered $104 million worldwide at the box office.
Upon release, the film received mixed reviews from critics. While the action sequences were praised for their intensity, some critics found fault with the plot’s execution. Despite this, Wrath of Man remains a notable entry in Ritchie and Statham’s action-packed collaborations.
