Deadline reports that Special Ops: Lioness will see the return of several key cast members for its highly anticipated second season. Thad Luckinbill, known for his portrayal of CIA Officer Kyle McManus, will be back as a main cast member. Luckinbill featured prominently in Season 1, appearing in six out of eight episodes and playing a crucial role in the abduction of an informant.
Star and executive producer Zoe Saldaña will return as Joe McNamara, the CIA officer overseeing the Lioness program in the field. Laysla De Oliveira, who portrayed Marine Raider Cruz Mañuelos, will also reprise her role. Nicole Kidman, who serves as an executive producer and plays Kaitlyn Meade, will be back alongside Michael Kelly, who portrayed Kaitlyn’s supervisor, Byron Westfield.
Additionally, Morgan Freeman will be promoted to a main cast member, continuing his role as Secretary of State Edwin Mullins. The new season promises to build on the intense and suspenseful narrative of the first, bringing back familiar faces and introducing new developments in the world of covert operations.
