RAMBO 6: NEW BLOOD (2024)
Rambo is an iconic American media franchise centered around a series of action films featuring the legendary character, John Rambo. So far, the franchise includes five films: First Blood (1982), Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Rambo III (1988), Rambo (2008), and Rambo: Last Blood (2019). These films follow John Rambo, portrayed by Sylvester Stallone, a U.S. Army Special Forces veteran whose traumatic Vietnam War experiences have honed him into a highly skilled warrior. Rambo uses his expertise to battle corrupt officials, enemy troops, and drug cartels.
The first film, First Blood, is based on David Morrell’s 1972 novel of the same name. The franchise has achieved significant success, grossing a total of $819 million, with Rambo: First Blood Part II being the highest-grossing entry at $300 million. Stallone not only starred but also co-wrote the screenplays for all five films and directed Rambo (2008).
Beyond the films, the franchise has expanded into various media, including an animated TV series, Rambo: The Force of Freedom, comic books, novels, video games, and even a Bollywood remake.
